We Like Big Booties

We like big booties and we cannot lie! I already wrote an article about how thigh-high boots are all the rage, but the same goes for booties! Ankle boots are a winter staple, but definetely not short on style! While tall boots are a great way to add a "wow!" factor to any outfit, booties can dress up any outfit while also being a low maintenance shoe. A lot of the time (even though there are always exceptions) you don't have to plan an outfit around your booties like you do with tall boots. You can already have the perfect outfit planned, and then just throw on your favorite pair of booties and it acts as the finising touch.

Even as a staple piece, it can tricky to figure out the right way to wear short boots. If your pants are too short, it can chop your legs in half, but too long of pants can make your feet look oddly small. I will teach you the best way to wear booties with everything while also showing you some of my favorite pairs right now!

MY FAVE BOOTIES

These are my favorite booties right now! They are black boots with gorgeous silver and blue embroidered flowers. They add a pop to any outfit! I actually got these for Christmas but my mom got them from Kohl's and they are the brand SO which I am really surprised about because they are very high quality and everyone thinks they are expensive boots. And not only are they super cute, they are also really comfortable too! I can wear them all day without my feet hurting which is really important when I have a job that requires to be on my feet all day. Since these have a slight block heel, I paired these booties with black jeans, and rolled the hem up twice since until there was a slight gap between the hem and the boots. I get a ton of compliments every time I wear them!

HIGH SHAFT BOOTIES

For booties with a high shaft, wear them with short, wide legged pants for a different twist on your outfit and to ensure comfort all day long. Booties that are tight at the top are hard to wear with skinny jeans because the jeans either have to come on top of the boots, or if you roll them up to the top of the boot the jeans become too short and you can look out of proportion. That is why wide legged pants are great with these because the boots can easily lay under them, but having the pants a little shorter still shows the style of the boot and also adds an edge to the style!

HEELED BOOTIES

Heeled booties are always going to have a dressier vibe to them, especially stiletto ones. And the higher the heel, the dressier they feel. I mean it is hard to wear a heeled anything and not look dressed up, right? So, these are best worn at night for an upscale vibe. It is best to pair with a dress or at least dressier outfits for a night out look, or a very polished day time look.

FLAT BOOTIE

Flat or no heel booties have a different look and feel than other booties. I am already on the tall side, so I love when I find a good pair of flat booties that I can wear for any type of day. To me, flalt booties have a boho chic vibe and tend to look more casual. Pair them with rolled up jeans in the fall and a cute swing dress or even shorts in the summer, pre-fall months! They don't just have to be casual though, leather and pointed-toe flat booties have a dressy feel to them that you can wear with a polished professional look.
