The Best of Bridal

Wedding season is in full swing! It's my favorite time of year; the air is warm, flowers are blooming, and every other weekend I get to see a beautiful wedding. So to honor that, I thought I would take some time to show you the biggest 2018 wedding trends so you can know what to expect, or maybe to help you start planning your own!

Bridal Gowns

-Capes

It may seem odd, but capes are the new big thing for bridal. At Bridal Fashion Week, nearly every designer had at least one gown that showcased a caplet or full length cape. I don't know about you, but honestly I am here for it. Be the superwoman that you are on your big day!

-High Neck

High necklines are nothing new to the bridal world, but they are definetely making a comeback for 2018, and specifically Fall 2018. Designers are trying to reinvent the neckline by adding different and fun details. It's a modern take on a traditional dress!

-Color

The blush trend is getting a new take by entering the bridal world in shades of pink and nude. It's perfect for the bride who wants to keep the elegant, princess look while adding a fun twist! If you know someone who maybe isn't pure enough to wear white, send this trend their way ;)

-Mini Dress

Legs out! Several designers at the Fall 2018 Bridal Fashion Week went bold and debuted mini wedding dresses, ranging from shorts, full miniskirts, or high-low. If you're not into walking down the aisle with your legs on display, it could be a great reception dress. Fall brides should dare to go bare!

Bridesmaids

-Patterns

Traditionally, bridesmaids wear less than extravagant dresses while standing next to the bride, but traditional is so boring. Brides are breaking away from what is normal and exploring new options for their gal pals. The top new trend right now is patterned dresses and I think it adds such a fun pop!

-Mix & Match

Not only are brides breaking the mold with patterns, they are also putting their girls in different dresses and colors. This has been a huge trend lately, and as long as all the colors go well together, it can look amazing! It is a great way to let your bridesmaid pick her own dress and choose what she feels most comfortable in!

-Seperates

Two-piece gowns have endless opportunities. You can mix and match tops while keeping the same skirt, you can have two different colors while all being in the same dress, or you can have all the same color. It also allows your bridesmaid to rewear the dress since she can mix and match the skirt and top. It is a fun versatile way to style your girls!

Next time you're at a wedding, see if you can notice any of these trends! What is your favorite one? Let me know in the comments!
